RESIDENTIAL LANGUAGE COURSES
What better way to learn italian than in the country itself? Combine a stay in a classic rural "agriturismo" with a delightful combination of classroom lessons, excursions into the countryside and towns, visiting historic sites and of course making the most of dining in some of our favourite restaurants and eateries.
Our residential courses usually take place in the Le Marche, Puglia, Abruzzo and Tuscany regions of Italy where we can guarantee the combination of unspoiled culture, scenery and climate will only leave you wanting to come back again and again. The duration of these trips is typically 1 week with all accommodation, airport transfers and transport being taken care of.
Because the course is limited to ìndividuals or couples, you're in control of your learning speed, and you have as much time as you need to absorb the language. The course is most suitable for complete or partial beginnersas well as those more experienced. You can choose to do the sessions at your own convenience, but the recommended order in which to do the four initial sessions is as follows:
Session 1: Getting to know people
(greetings and introductions; talking about nationalities and families; going to a bar)
Session 2: Going shopping (names of shops; quantities and measures; dealing with numbers and prices; asking for things in shops)
Session 3: In a restaurant
(understanding the menu; asking about dishes; food and drink vocabulary)
Session 4: Getting to places
(car vocabulary; asking for and giving directions; making bookings)
You begin each course session with essential vocabulary and phrases (and any necessary grammar explanations) and then go out to practise "in the real world", accompanied by your personal tutor. By doing this, you can build your confidence and use your Italian in real situations - secure that your tutor is on hand to help you if you run into problems.
